The Personal Translator translation program uses SmartTranslation™ technology, which increases the translation quality with intelligent processes, and at the same time also makes it even easier to use. The Personal Translator portfolio includes the languages, German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese for single users, networks and intranets. The renowned Fraunhofer Institute has certified that Personal Translator results in a time saving of 40% compared with more traditional translation processes. 87 of the top 100 companies in Germany and 61 of the top 100 European companies are already using Linguatec's Personal Translator.
Linguatec has brought a new generation of speech synthesis software to market with its new speech output program Voice Reader. Based on state-of-the-art TTS technology and controlled by linguistic pre-processors, text is converted to stunningly natural and pleasant speech sounds. With just a simple touch of a button, Voice Reader converts any kind of text into astonishingly good quality audio files.
There are three versions to choose from: Voice Reader Home for private users, Voice Reader Studio for professional users and Voice Reader Web for the automatic sound-tracking of websites. In up to 15 languages!
New to Linguatec is the area of mobile translation. On CeBIT 2008, for the first time Linguatec presented the groundbreaking Shoot & Translate technology, the first translation software for mobile phones, smartphones and PDAs. Shoot & Translate uses the SmartTranslation™ technologies of Personal Translator for the first time for mobile devices. The automatic translation process was extended with high-performance text recognition and optimized for mobile phones. In addition, the practical text-to-speech function of Voice Reader has been integrated. The principle is unbelievably simple: An unknown sign is simply photographed with the mobile phone, the text is then extracted from the photo by the OCR and translated. The texts can even be read out. Shoot & Translate, the ideal accompaniment when traveling and holidaying, is available in 6 language pairs.
NEW: The speech recognition program Voice Pro 12 (only available in German) was developed in close cooperation between Linguatec and Microsoft. Voice Pro achieves a recognition speed which is on average three times faster than typing, and has a reliable recognitions rate of up to 99%. In comparison with the previous version, up to 33% fewer recognition errors were recorded. Along with Voice Pro 12 Standard for private use, Voice Pro 12 Premium for professional use and Voice Pro 12 Premium Wireless for more freedom of movement in the work place, there are also comprehensive specialist solutions: Voice Pro 12 Legal for lawyers and Voice Pro 12 Medical for doctors. All versions starting from Voice Pro 12 Premium are optimally suited for use with dictaphones.
