In the course of your work for Linguatec you will be supported by our competent and international team and you will directly be integrated into existing processes and may therefore gather important experience for your later professional life.
We are looking for support in the development of language models for speech recognition and machine translation.
Requirements
- You have already passed your intermediate exam in computer linguistics or computer science (or a comparable faculty)
- You have a strong affinity to linguistics and you are experienced in corpus linguistics and text preprocessing
- Comprehensive programming experience in Perl and / or Java
- Reliable dealing with regular expressions and pattern matching
- Excellent knowledge in the basic principles of linguistic data processing (i.e. orthography normalization, sentence segmentation)
- Knowledge in other script languages (Pyton, Shell) might be an advantage
- Excellent German and good English language skills

Requirements
- You have already passed your intermediate exam in computer linguistics or computer science (or a comparable faculty)
- You are experienced with statistical machine translation and have worked with Moses, Giza++ and SRILM.
- You have a strong affinity to linguistics and you are experienced in corpus linguistics and text preprocessing.
- Assured handling of Linux
- Extensive programming experience in Perl
- Good German and/or English language skills
